What is Emotion?
Humans evolved to automatically evaluate whether something is positive (safe, rewarding) or negative (unsafe, avoid). This is known as emotional valence - and it happens instantly, before conscious thought. It is a fundamental part of our evolution to survive.
Universal factors such as facial expressions, emotional language and interesting imagery neurologically trigger emotional responses. Dragonfly AI’s models have learned these universal factors, how they relate to each other and how they influence emotion, giving clients a robust measure of how likely an asset will evoke an emotional response and the nature of the reaction. Our models achieve 83% accuracy vs. human testing, also equivalent to testing with 36 people.
What is Memory?
There are also universal characteristics of memory that apply to every human brain. Elements like rhyme (“Beanz Meanz Heinz”), rhythm, or grammar density have a consistent impact on whether something is stored in memory.
