What media should I upload?

The Studio is perfect for analysing assets for any use case across any channel. Some key points to consider when uploading assets to the Studio.

  • Resolution - Human eyes don't see pixelated images so the higher the better. Note: The Studio will automatically resize very high-resolution images to a maximum of 4096x4096 pixels.

  • Context - Try to ensure your chosen images are as close to how your target audience will view your content, as Dragonfly AI replicates human vision.

  • Distractors - Exclude any parts of the image that you don’t want to be considered by the tool e.g. lighting, lens flares, borders etc.

  • A/B/n testing - Ensure as much consistency as possible to allow for a fair test e.g. the same type of image at a similar resolution. If one image has a lot of background distractors and the other is just the asset, the results will be skewed, for example.

Studio 3.0 lets you test as many images as you need—without limits! There’s no cap on your account or studies, so you can upload and test unlimited content with complete freedom. 🚀

Upload Options

Troubleshooting media uploads

When you upload an image in the Select Assets screen, the Studio will instantly check if it meets platform requirements. If an image is larger than 10MB or exceeds 4096 pixels, you'll get a notification in the Status column. Plus, you can easily see the file size and dimensions at a glance—so you’ll always know why an image may not be accepted. Smooth, simple, and hassle-free!

Re-naming assets

Now, you can rename your assets directly within the platform! Previously, assets were assigned alphabetical letters, making it tricky to track performance—especially when dealing with similar SKUs. With this update, you can label your assets clearly, making it easier than ever to identify top-performing content before starting your study. Stay organised and in control with customised asset names!

Some Key Examples

Real life imagery

The Studio replicates attention in a scene as if it were human vision so it is important to upload images that are as close to this as possible.

When taking an image in the real world e.g. in store, billboards, pos material, we recommend that you consider what customers will see in that environment. Photos should be taken:

  • In landscape mode

  • At eye-level

  • In focus

  • With high resolution

  • Without alterations or lenses

  • With natural lighting (no flash)

Product Images

In replicating human vision, the Studio assumes your product will be taking up all or most of the audience's vision.

When uploading your pack shot, try to use a design as close to its final form as possible.

  • High resolution

  • Ensure all elements such as borders and watermarks are removed.
