2-Factor-Authentication Update

Switching from mobile app to email-based 2fa

Written by Iwan Keymer

We're updating our login process to make accessing the platform simpler, more reliable, and more secure.

What's Changing?

Starting with our release on Thursday, we will be moving away from app-based two-factor authentication (2FA) and introducing email-based authentication.

Instead of using an authenticator app to generate login codes, you'll now receive a verification code directly to your registered email address when signing in.

Why We're Making This Change

While authenticator apps provide strong security, they can also create unnecessary barriers to accessing your account, particularly when changing devices, replacing phones, or troubleshooting login issues.

This update allows us to provide:

  • A cleaner, simpler login experience

  • Reduced dependency on third-party authenticator apps

  • A secure and robust authentication process

Our goal is to make accessing the platform easier while maintaining the high security standards our customers expect.

What the New Login Process Looks Like

After the update, logging in will be straightforward:

  1. Enter your email address and password as usual.

  2. We'll send a verification code to your registered email address.

  3. Enter the code into the platform.

  4. Access your account.

Important Information

Authenticator Apps Will No Longer Work

Once this update is released, any previously configured authenticator apps will no longer be used for login verification. All authentication codes will be delivered via email instead.

Make Sure Your Email Address Is Current

To ensure a smooth transition, please confirm that the email address associated with your account is up to date.

If you are still using an old or inaccessible email address, you can:

  • Update it before the release, or

  • Update it during your first login after the change, where applicable, or

  • Contact our team and we can manually update your account to your current email address.

Accessing The Broader Product Suite

You may notice that some of the previous navigation screens have been removed as part of the login refresh. But you can still access all the Dragonfly Products from the Studio 3 Homepage.

  • Click your name in the top-right of the homepage, a drop-down menu will appear.

  • Choose your desired option from the list.

If you have any questions about the new login process or need assistance updating your email address, please contact our support team: [email protected]

We're confident this change will deliver a smoother, more user-friendly login experience while maintaining the security and reliability you rely on every day.
